I'm literally writing a sentence about how I called myself "barefoot Nate" for two summers after reading Born To Run. Pretty sure that fucked up my feet. 😂

The article references barefoot running—and I guess we strike harder with cushioned shoes on. But, yeah, no shoes running, not great long-term. Or short-term depending on what you step on …

Hahaha! That book is responsible for quite a few injuries...saying that, I still run in sandals a few times a week for short runs. I feel like it strengthens my feet.

Next, let's look at forefoot, midfoot, and heel strikes. =) That's where shoe choice has been most relevant to me.

Yo Matt! Happy new sub here. Looking to move to the Saucony Endorphins from Kinvara to up the cushioning as well. Feeling it on the long runs. Big fan of "Write out the shift". Some weeks are harder than others.
